M’singh farmers get good yield of wheat

MYMENSINGH, Apr 22 (BSS): Farmers achieved expected yield of wheat this year in the district that prompted them to grow more wheat in future. The farmers appeared to have smiles on their faces having expected yielding. Department of Agriculture Extension (DAE) sources said farmers are expecting to get desired production this year.
Sources said on an average 2.8 metric tons of wheat has been produced on per hectare of land. DAE sources said a total of 1960 hectares of land were brought under wheat cultivation this year in all 12 upazilas against the production target of 4441 metric tonnes.
When contacted Muktagacha upazila Agriculture officer Mahbubul Alam told BSS that yield of wheat is satisfactory in Muktagacha upazila.
