Naba Gopal Banik new ED of BB

Mr Naba Gopal Banik was promoted as executive director of Bangladesh Bank (BB) Monday.
Prior to the new position, he was general manager of foreign exchange policy department of BB, according to a notification.
Common services department, expenditure management department and agri- loan and special programmes department will remain under the portfolio of Mr Banik.
A post-graduate of statistics department of Chittagong University, he joined the central bank as assistant director in 1976.
Besides, Mr SM Moniruzzaman and Mohd Naushad Ali Chowdhury were promoted as general managers of the BB on the same day.
