Nadeem Qadir (Readers Digest, USA/GBC radio, Canada) and Amir Khasru (Voice of America) have been elected president and general secretary (GS) respectively of the Overseas Correspondents Association of Bangladesh (OCAB) for the year 2008.
The election was held at the annual general meeting (AGM) of the association at the National Press Club in the city Sunday.
OCAB outgoing president Huang Yanan presided over the meeting.
Other elected office bearers of the executive committee are: Vice President Sk Enamul Hoque (Radiance Views Weekly, India), Joint Secretary Farid Ahmed (Inter-Press Service, Philippines) and Treasurer Bashudeb Dhar (Dainik Statesman, Kolkata, India).
