‘Nagad fulfilling nat'l duty as service provider of post office’

Minister for Posts and Telecommunications Mustafa Jabbar today said that mobile financial service (MFS) provider Nagad is fulfilling its national duty as a service of the Bangladesh Post Office, reports BSS.
"It needs to be cleared that Bangladesh Post Office has not and will not incur any loss due to Nagad," the minister added.
He also requested all not to be misled by any "misinformation or rumours" regarding Nagad, said a press release of the Ministry issued today.
Claiming that a vested group is out to tarnish Nagad's reputation, he said, "Since March 26, 2019, we have been noticing that a group has always been unhappy with the success of Nagad’’.
