Nagorik Committee announces manifesto for RCC polls

RAJSHAHI, July 18 (BSS): Nagorik Committee here today announced a 23- point election manifesto on behalf of Mayoral candidate to the upcoming Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) election AHM Khairuzzaman Liton.
Member-secretary of the committee Syed Shafiqul Alam announced the manifesto at a press conference at its office with its convener Language Veteran Abul Hossain in the chair.
They said, if Liton were elected as mayor he would take effective steps to bring pipeline-based natural gas to every household and industry and initiative would also be taken to set up agro-based industries to create employment for the unemployed youths.
The city bhaban will be kept open for all citizens after keeping it free from party politics and corruption, and steps would be taken for overall development of the metropolis through formulating a proper master plan.
They also said, measures would also be taken to build a silk village here in order to revitalise the traditional silk industry side by side with operating technical training centres for the unemployed youths.
Speakers urged the voters to elect Liton to create chance for serving the citizens.
