Nahid seeks global help to build Digital Bangladesh

Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid Wednesday sought cooperation from the international community for building a Digital Bangladesh as announced by Prime Minister (PM) Sheikh Hasina, reports BSS.
The minister made the call at a roundtable organised by Global HR (Human Resource) Forum 2010 at a hotel in the South Korean capital of Seoul, according to a message received in the city Thursday.
Korean Minister for Education Ju-Ho Lee presided over the meeting. Ministers from Lao PDR, Mongolia, Philippines, Cambodia and Timor attended the meeting. President of Korean Education and Research Information Service Se-Yeong Chun was also present.
Nahid urged the Korean government for increasing the number of scholarships for Bangladeshi students.
The participants at the meeting exchanged views on enhancing cooperation in education sector among the countries, sharing experience and information of Korea in different sectors and exchanging human resources at government levels through scholarships.
Meanwhile, the minister in a message from South Korea expressed his concern over the incidents of eve-teasing and attacks and killing of parents and guardians of girls, teachers by stalking-terrors.
He urged people of all walks including guardians, teachers, professionals, intellectuals, people's representatives, administration and law enforcement agencies for taking tough measures against such a social menace.
