Nahid to visit houses of stalking victims

Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid will visit the houses of Chanpa Rani of Faridpur and college teacher Mizanur Rahman of Natore, who were killed by stalkers recently, reports BSS.
The education minister will go to Madhukhali of Faridpur today (Saturday) where Chanpa Rani Bhowmik (45), an employee of Faridpur Sugar Mills and wife of Swapan Biswas, was killed by a motorcycle riding stalker Tuesday.
Chanpa Rani was run over by the motorcyclist as she protested the teasing of her two daughters in Madhukhali Upazila.
Nahid, who returned home Friday after visiting Malaysia, Thailand and South Korea, will also visit the house and college of teacher Mizanur Rahman of Natore Monday who was similarly killed by stalkers riding on a motorcycle on October 12.
After fighting for life for 12 days, Mizan died at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Hospital early Sunday (October 24).
On October 12, two local youths attacked Mizanur Rahman, a chemistry teacher of Lokmanpur College in Bagatipara Upazila, for protesting stalking of college girls. They ran a motorcycle over him, leaving him critically injured.
He was declared clinically dead on October 21. Since then, he had been on a life-support machine. And he died on October 24.
