Nanak made AL joint gen secy

Awami League (AL) President Sheikh Hasina Friday nominated Jahangir Kabir Nanak MP as her party's joint general secretary, a post which was vacant, and Bir Bahadur MP as organising secretary, reports BSS.
In accordance with the constitution of the party and the power vested in her by the Central Council, the AL chief nominated them to the aforesaid posts, said a party press release.
Along side, AL organising secretary Ahmed Hossain, who was earlier entrusted with the responsibilities of looking after the organisational affairs of Chittagong divisional unit, will now look after Dhaka divisional unit while Bir Bahadur MP has been entrusted with the responsibilities to look after the organisational matters of Chittagong divisional unit of the party.
Their nomination would come into effect soon after they receive the letters in this regard, the press release added.
