Narail, Sumanganj, Madaripur road crashes kill four

Four people, including three motorbike riders, were killed and four others injured in separate road accidents in Narail, Sumanganj and Madaripur districts, reports UNB.
The deceased were identified as Dayal Das, 27, son of Naran Das of Jashore's Keshabpur upazila, Amirul Islam, 50, son of late Syed Mokhddus Ali and Rajin Ahmed of Habibur Rahman, both hailed from Derai upazila of Sunamganj, and Mohammad Siam, 19, son of Salam Befari, of Madaripur Sadar upazila.
Jafar Ahmed, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Tularam highway police station in Narail, said a chicken-laden pickup van and a truck collided on Jashore-
Kalna highway in Haoyaikhali bridge area under Narail Sadar upazila around 6am on Monday.
The accident left five people, including Dayal Das, injured, he said.
They were rushed to Narail Sadar Hospital where physicians declared Dayal, the OC said.
Sunamganj's Shantiganj police station OC Md Akram Ali said a collision occurred between a motorbike and a CNG-run autorickshaw in Sichhni area around 10:30am on Monday.
The accident left Amirul and Rajin dead on the spot, he said, adding that the duo were bike riders.
Moreover, biker Siam was injured in a road accident in Mithapur area of Madaripur Sadar upazila.
Later, he was taken to a hospital in Dhaka's Dhanmondi where he succumbed to injuries on Sunday night.
Police recovered the bodies and sent those to Sadar Hospital morgue.
