Narayanganj district lawyers on Monday demanded resignation of Disaster Management and Relief Minister Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya, citing investigation into the seven murders is being influenced for one of the sacked Rab officials being his son-in-law. The demand came at a rally organised by the lawyers on the premises of Narayanganj Judge’s Court protesting the killings of seven people, including their colleague Chandan Kumar Sarker. The lawyers also expressed their resentment over still not showing the three former Rab officials arrested in the sensational murder case. Narayanganj Ainjibi Samity president Shakhawat Hossain and its general secretary Zakir Hossain, among others, addressed the rally, according to a news agency.
