Narayanganj murder: Too little, too late

Wednesday, 7 May 2014

It is indeed funny that the law enforcing agency has become active suddenly and searched the house of Nur Hossain, the main accused of Narayanganj counselor Nazrul Islam murder case. It is nothing but simple eyewash and the common people of Narayanganj understand it very well. Everyone was pointing at the notorious ring leader Nur Hossain from the beginning but the law enforcing agency was mum as it had not got any order from high ups of the ruling party.
Now, after one week of the gruesome murders, they have suddenly become over-active and searched the house of the accused and issued red alert on all the exit points of our country. It is like closing one's door tightly after the thief runs away safely. The victim's family members alleged that the law enforcing agency RAB has executed this ghastly murder on behalf of Nur Hossain. We don't see guilty people being punished for their heinous crime if they are somehow connected to the ruling party as the ruling party leaders believe punishing the criminal of their own party will harm their image. So, they always try to save criminals of their own party or claim them to be innocent. Sometimes, I wonder, will we ever be able to establish justice in the true sense in our country?
