Narayanganj poised for final with Feni

Narayanganj District will face Feni District in the final match of the Sailors BFF National Under-15 Football Championship at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in the city today (Sunday), reports UNB.
The final match will kick off at 5:00 pm.
State Minister for Youth and Sports Biren Sikder, MP, will be the chief guest in today's final. SAFF and BFF President Kazi Mohammad Salahuddin will also be present on the occasion.
BFF Vice President Abdus Salam Murshedy and Managing Director of the meet's sponsor Epyllion Group Riazuddin Al Mamun will also be present as special guests.
The final match between the two teams, scheduled for September 2 at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in the city, was postponed by tournament committee prior to the match start on the day due to continuous rainfall and inclement weather in Dhaka and elsewhere in the country.
The match was rescheduled for September 13 after Bangladesh's home match of FIFA World Cup Qualifiers against stronger Jordan on September 8 at the Bangabandhu National Stadium.
The tournament offered a prize money of Tk 0.2 million (2.0 lakh) for the champions and Tk 0.1 million for the runners-up team, in addition to trophy and medals.
Earlier, Feni District reached the final with all-win record eliminating Dhaka District by 5-4 goals in sudden death session of tie-breaker as the semifinal match between them was locked in a goalless position in stipulated 90 minutes at the Bangabandhu National Stadium.
Narayanganj District booked a seat for the final also with unbeaten run eliminating Sylhet District also by 5-4 goals in penalty shootout as the semifinal match between two teams was locked in 1-1 draw at the same venue.
Eight zonal champion teams from initially participated 61 districts took part in the final round in Dhaka at the Bangabandhu National Stadium and Dhanmondi Abahani ground respectively.
