NASCIB holds AGM

The annual general meeting (AGM) of National Association of Small and Cottage Industries of Bangladesh (NASCIB) was held in the city Thursday.
President of the Central Executive Committee of NASCIB Mirza Nurul Ghani Shovon presided over the AGM, said a press release.
Members of NASCIB district committee members from 35 districts attended the programme.

In his presidential address, Mr Shovon urged all his colleagues to organise NASCIB activities in all the 64 districts of the country.
Being the founder Director of small, medium entrepreneur's Foundation (SMEF), he expressed his desire to strengthen the capacity of the women entrepreneurs all over Bangladesh.
The annual report for 2007-08, the audit report for 2007-08 and proposed budget for 2009-10 were placed in the AGM.
After discussion by the members of the general body the annual report was adopted and the audit report for 2007-08 and the proposed budget for 2009-10 were approved.
The attending members assured the president of their support and cooperation for small, medium and cottage industries (SMCI) promotion and development.
