NASCIB to boost capacity of women entrepreneurs

The annual general meeting (AGM) of the National Association of Small and Cottage Industries of Bangladesh (NASCIB) was held in the city Monday, said a press release.
President of NASCIB's central executive committee Mirza Nurul Ghani Shovon presided over the meeting.
Shovon expressed his commitment to organising NASCIB activities in all the 64 districts.
Being the founder-director of Small, Medium Entrepreneurs' Foundation (SMEF) and third-time president of NASCIB central executive committee, he expressed his desire to strengthen the capacity of the women entrepreneurs all over the country.
He further said NASCIB would organise entrepreneurs' conferences in all the six divisional headquarters and the National SME Conference on December 31, 2008.
Vice President (Women Affairs) of NASCIB Masuda M Rashid Chowdhury also showed her keen interest to strengthen the women cell through its 'Entrepreneur Exchange Programme' with nearly seven countries that signed MOU with NASCIB.
