Nasim urges law enforcers to ensure sound law and order

NATORE, Apr 18 (BSS): Health and Family Welfare Minister Muhammad Nasim, MP, has urged upon the law enforcers to put in their best efforts to ensure law and order everywhere in the society, reports BSS.
He said the law enforcers should come forward with all their efforts to restore law and order in Natore district at any cost to fulfill the hopes and aspirations of the people in general.
Besides, he sought cooperation of the people in checking drug abuse and stressed the need for vigilance and alertness of all to prevent extortion and to bring law offenders to book.
Nasim was addressing a meeting on the overall law and order situation of the district held in the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Friday.
With Administrator of Zilla Parisahd Advocate Sazedur Rahman Khan in the chair, former mayor of Rajshahi City Corporation AHM Khairuzzaman Liton, State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Advocate Zunayed Ahmed Polok, Advocate Abdul Quddus, MP, Saiful Islam, MP, Abul Kalam Azad, MP, Deputy Commissioner Jafar Ullah and SP-in- Charge Mijanur Rahman also spoke.
District law enforcing agencies chiefs, Upazila Chairmen, UNOs, government officials, lawyers, members of the civil society and journalists were present at the meeting.
Nasim said the law-enforcers will play supportive role towards successful implementation of the present government's charter of change and vision-2021 as the success of a government largely depends on law and order situation in the country.
Expressing his grave concern over the issue of drug addiction Nasim asked them to conduct joint operation to evict and uproot the dens of the drug traffickers, sellers and addicts and took the issue as challenge.
The meeting decided to take immediate drive against criminals, listed terrorists and extremists groups to recover illegal arms and take legal action against unlicenced motorbike drivers.
It was decided in the meeting to conduct frequent mobile courts to prevent adulteration in food and also to check preservatives injurious to health.
In view of the gradually rising crimes against women and children, the meeting noted that the criminals should be brought to book immediately.
Nasim called upon the law enforcing agencies to devote themselves to eliminating crimes ensuring peace and security of the people.
