Nasir celebrates 50 yrs of service in insurance industry today

Bangladesh's leading insurance expert Nasir A Choudhury celebrates 50 years of his service in insurance industry today (Wednesday).
Mr. Choudhury, presently the managing director and CEO of the Green Delta Insurance Company Ltd (GDIC) started his career on this day in 1958 in the executive cadre of Pakistan Insurance Corporation (PIC) at its headquarters in Karachi.
Mr. Choudhury was one of those who contributed largely in reorganizing the insurance industry immediately after the independence of Bangladesh in 1971.
As a reinsurance expert Nasir A Choudhury is also widely known in London and other reinsurance markets around the globe.
In 1986, Nasir A Choudhury along with some local and expatriate Bangladeshi entrepreneurs launched Green Delta Insurance Company (GDIC).
Today GDIC is a front line insurance company in the private sector.
GDIC officials will accord a reception to to Mr Choudhury today at the company's head office at Dilkusha's Hadi Mansion.
A citizen reception to Mr. Choudhury will be accorded after the Eid-ul-Fitr.
