Nasum decimates Noakhali as Sylhet get six-wkt win in BPL

Tuesday, 6 January 2026

Left-arm spinner Nasum Ahmed led the charge with his maiden five-wicket haul as Sylhet Titans secured a six-wicket victory against Noakhali Express at the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) on Monday, report agencies.
With only seven runs in four overs, Nasum made a record of giving the least runs while bagging the
five-for in all the seasons of BPL. He is also the first among Bangladeshi bowlers to claim a fifer in the tournament.
Winning the toss, Noakhali opted to bat, but collapsed within just 61 after playing 14.2 overs at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.
After losing the last two matches, Sylhet steadily cruised to the target within 8.4 overs, thanks
to a 53-run partnership by Tawfique Khan and Zakir Hasan.
Much-anticipated former England allrounder Moeen Ali joined Sylhet Titans in the match and gave six runs in two overs.
