Nation awaiting a fair, inclusive election

Tuesday, 4 September 2018

The next general election is likely to be held in December this year. It is still uncertain as to how the election will be held. Nobody knows if the country's second largest political party will be participating in the election or not.
This is creating a sense of unease among the local and foreign investors. This is bad for Bangladesh's growing economy. All the political parties should come together, discuss and find a common solution. Only a transparent and neutral election can help the democracy become strong. At the moment, everyone, including donors and international community, are asking for a fair and inclusive election so that peace prevails in the country.
I hope, uncertainty over the next general election will be over soon and an inclusive and fair election will take place in the country.
