Deputy Leader of the House Syeda Sajeda Chowdhury vehemently protested the nefarious designs unleashed by the BNP-Jama'at in the city and elsewhere in the country on Sunday saying that their all evil efforts will go in vain and the trial of war criminals must be completed in time for which the nation is looking for, reports BSS. Addressing a discussion in the city Sunday afternoon she said, "We are still at war as the spirit of War of Liberation is yet to complete and time has come to take a fresh vow to oust the collaborators of Pakistani occupation forces- Razakars, Al-Badrs and Al-Shams from the country. Chowdhury, who is also a senior presidium member of Bangladesh Awami League, stressed the unity of pro-liberation forces, saying Rajakars have no right to stay in independent Bangladesh which is achieved at the cost of lives of three million people. She made the remarks while speaking at a function commemorating the 40th anniversary of the Victory Day at Banganandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University here as the chief guest. Planning Minister and President of Sector Commanders Forum Air Vice Marshal (retd) AK Khondker addressed as special guest at the function with vice chancellor of the university Professor Pran Gopal Datta in the chair. Treasurer of the university Professor Dr M Moazzem Hossain gave welcome address at the function. In the function six doctors of the country were given awards. The deputy leader of the Jatiya Sangsad alleged that BNP is involved in creating obstacle in the process of trial of war criminals while the government is firm to complete the trials of war criminals. As a part of its design, Sajeda Chowdhury said, they (BNP-Jama'at) have created anarchic situation in the capital this morning to destabilize the country to create a barrier in the process of trial of war criminals. Air Vice Marshall (retd) AK Khondker alleged that acquaintances of war criminals are trying to destabilize the country to protect their evil friends. But the trial of war criminals must be ensured to establish peace in the country, he said. Dr Syed Modasser Ali said anti-liberation elements have no right to do politics in the soil of Bangladesh.
