National Electricity Week begins today

National Electricity Week (NEW) will be observed countrywide from today (Wednesday) to create mass awareness for stopping misuse of electricity, reports UNB.
Finance Minister AMA Muhith will inaugurate a five-day programme, organised by the Power Ministry, at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) in the morning.
The programme includes holding of rallies, exhibitions, cultural shows, essay competitions for students, and other events.
A senior official of the Power Ministry said the National Electricity Week will also be observed at upazila level alongside the programmes in the capital and at district headquarters.
