National flag's first designer Shib Narayan dies

Freedom Fighter Shib Narayan Das, who had designed the first flag of Bangladesh just before the independence, passed away while undergoing treatment at a city hospital on Friday, reports UNB. He was 78.
He breathed his last at 9:25 am at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University, his son Arnab Aditya Das confirmed the news over mobile phone.
Shib Narayan was born in Cumilla.
President Mohammed Shahabuddin has expressed profound shock at his death.
