National Sanitation Month observed in Habiganj

A Correspondent HABIGANJ, Oct 23: National Sanitation Month October 2011 was observed in a befitting manner in Habiganj Sunday. District administration and public health engineering department jointly organized the programme. A colourful rally paraded from Habiganj collectorate at Nimtala to main road of the town. Advocate Md. Abu Jahir MP led the rally. After the rally a discussion meeting held at deputy commissioner's office presided over by ADM Dilip Kumar Banik. Advocate Md. Abu Jahir MP was present as chief guest. Md. Kamrul Amin SP and Executive Engineer Md. Hanif were present as special guests. Government officials, NGO men, students of different schools attended the programme. Teacher killed A Madrasha teacher was killed by a rival at Makrampur in Habiganj Sunday. The deceased was identified as Kutub uddin (40). Sources said, there was a feud between Kala Miah and Kutub uddin from long time over a land dispute. He was a teacher of Makrampur Darussunnath Madrasha.
