National Tea earns record revenue at tea auction

National Tea Company Limited achieved the highest revenue in 47 years at the tea auction held on Monday.
At the Auction No. 31, the company earned total revenue of Tk 60,686,358 from the sale of its tea, says a press statement.
The company also recorded significant revenue at Auction No. 30, earning Tk 39,410,906.
Currently, the sale price of National Tea Company's tea per kilogram is Tk 3.41 higher than the national average.
For the past several years, the average price of the company's tea per kilogram was Tk 20-25 lower than the national average.
According to the Tea Brokers, the quality of National Tea Company's tea has significantly improved from earlier years. As a result, the sale of this high-quality tea at the auction is leading to higher sales prices, and the company's reputation continues to grow.
