National Team Bridge kicks off tomorrow

The 36th National Team Bridge Championship sponsored by Ispahani will be held in Dhaka on December 24 to December 28.
The events of this championship will be held in two phases: the first round at Engineers' Recreation Center of the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB) on December 24-26 and the second round at Olympic Building on DIT Road in Dhaka on December 27-28.
The new winning team will be qualified through the five -day tournament where 16 to 18 teams with 108 players altogether from across the country will participate. Each team consists of 4-6 players.
People aged between 15-90 years, including women, can participate in the game.
On the occasion of this game, a 'Meet the Press' was organized at Olympic Building in the capital on Sunday.
For the first time this year, the champion will be awarded Tk 1 lakh, it was announced at the press conference.
Bangladesh Bridge Federation President Syed Mahbubur Rahman, vice-presidents Syed Ahmed Robi and Md. Abul Kashem, General Secretary Naimul Hasan, Convener Maula Al Mamun and General Manager of Ispahani Tea Limited Omar Hannan were present at the event.
