National Women's Football Championship begins Sept 1

The National Women's Football Championship, organised by Bangladesh Football Federation, will begin on September 1, reports UNB.
The decision was taken at a meeting of the Bangladesh Football Federation Women's Committee at the BFF Bhaban Sunday with its chairman and Federation vice president Sirajul Islam Bachchu in the chair.
The meeting also decided to hold the Metropolis School Football Tournament after Ramadan and the Metropolis Women's Football League in December with the participation of Dhaka metropolis clubs.
Meanwhile, a women football team from Urissa (India) is expected to arrive here in the 3rd week of August to play three exhibition matches against their Bangladesh counterparts.
The three exhibition matches are scheduled to be held at the Bangabandhu National Stadium (BNS), Bir Shrestha Sepoy Mohammad Mostafa Stadium and Rangamati Stadium.
BFF Women Football Committee vice chairman Golam Rasul Mollah, vice chairperson Nasreen Syed, secretary Qamrunnahar Dana, joint secretary Nasreen Akhter Baby, Manjoor Hossain Malu and Anwarul Huq Helal as ex-officio members were also present in the meeting.
