Nat'l age group swimming starts today

The Keya Cosmetics 23rd National Age Group Swimming Championship, organised by the Bangladesh Swimming Federation (BSF), begins at the National Swimming Complex at Mirpur in the city today (Thursday).
National Sports Council (NSC) Secretary M Aminul Islam Khan will inaugurate the three-day meet in the morning, reports UNB.
BSF President and Chief of the Bangladesh Navy Sarwar Jahan Nizam will be present as the chief guest at the closing function to be held Saturday afternoon while Keya Cosmetics Managing Director Abdul Khaleq Pathan will attend the function as special guest.
A total of 607 swimmers and 88 officials from 26 affiliated districts and 33 swimming clubs have registered their names for the meet.
In all, 446 swimmers participated in last year's meet that featured 23 national records.
