Nat'l committee to start women's business agenda formed

FE ReportbrIn order to facilitate increased participation in the economy by women entrepreneurs, Bangladesh Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BWCCI), in association with The Centre for International Private Enterprise (CIPE), formed a national committee for developing the first women's national business agenda at a city hotel Saturday.brThe national committee is comprised of 35 members from the different organisations across the country with seven working groups to work on different issues.brThe issues on entrepreneurship development were selected on the basis of focus group discussions in all divisional levels, according to a press release.brSelima Ahmad, president of BWCCI, addressed the meeting while Golam Dastagir Gazi, its director, was in the chair. brSangita Ahmed, senior vice president, and Selina Quader, vice president of BWCCI, and Mirza Niamul Ghani Shovon, president of NASCIB, were also present in the meeting. brThe BWCCI president said it is a big challenge and journey to get the first ever women's national business agenda for the country's women entrepreneurs.
