Wednesday, 8 August 2007
The national cricketers are likely to begin a weeklong training camp at the warfare wing of the Bangladesh Army's School of Infantry and Tactics (SI&T) in Sylhet on August 11 as preparation for the upcoming Twenty20 World Championship, reports UNB.
This is for the first time that the national cricketers will undergo training in such an exclusive venue.
The aim of this kind of conditioning camp is to make the players mentally and physically strong, said a source at the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB).
The BCB is likely to announce the 15-member twenty20 final squad on Thursday after a Board meeting.
Meanwhile, interim coach of the national side Shaun Williams, currently on vacation in USA, is expected to return within a day or two, well in time to join the camp.
