'Nat'l Curriculum and Textbook Board Ordinance (Amendment) Bill' finalised

The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Education Ministry has finalised the 'National Curriculum and Textbook Board Ordinance (Amendment) Bill 2009' Tuesday in its meeting for sending it back to parliament for passage in the next session, reports UNB.
The committee informed that the new National Education Policy 2009 had been formulated aimed at building patriotic, tolerant and non-communal human resources respectful to all religions and for flourishing humanity.
The committee also discussed the new policy, guidelines for admission to the government schools, guidelines for MPO of educational institutions Chaired by the standing committee Chairman Rashed Khan Menon, the meeting was attended by committee members Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid, Moudud Ahmed, Mirza Azam, Biren Shikdar, Sheikh Abdul Wahab, Mohammad Shah Alam, Ziaur Rahman, Kazi Faruque Kader and Momtaj Begum.
