Nat'l Income Tax Day inspires people to pay tax: President

President Iajuddin Ahmed Sunday said the observance of 'National Income Tax Day' today (Monday) would inspire mass people to pay their due tax to the national exchequer, reports BSS.
In a message, on the eve of the day the President said to develop country's physical infrastructures, create employment
opportunities, attained continued economic growth and escalate the multi-facet service at desired level, there is no alternative but to widen the scope of income tax.
"Apart from plenteous economy, income tax plays an important role in ensuring balanced distribution of wealth in the society" he said adding, "I think the activities taken by the government in realising the targeted revenue are well-timed."
He wished all success of observance of the day.
