Quantum Cosmo School of Lama, Bandarban, secured first position for fifth consecutive year in the national children-juvenile parade on Tuesday.
The spectacular parade was held at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on 49th Independence and National Day.
Cosmo, a specially designed school for the children of the socially disadvantaged families, has been participating in the event since 2015.
This year, 32 students of the institution participated in the parade and 170 pupils as a decorated band team.
Bangladesh National Cadet Corps and Sarkari Shishu Paribar secured second and third positions respectively in the parade, according to a press release.
The Ministry for Liberation War Affairs and Dhaka District Administration organised the rally in observance of Independence Day.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inspected the parades and took the salute of the participants from 48 schools and children's organisations.
Later, Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haq handed the prizes to the winners of the parade and display.
Cosmo School began its journey in 2001 with only seven students of the socially deprived families in hill tract areas.
It has now more than 1,500 students who are growing up with a target to be enlightened human beings.
