Nat'l T20 team trounce BCB Academy

Bangladesh national cricket team for the ensuing Twenty20 World Championship won their third practice match against Bangladesh National Cricket Academy team by 16 runs at the Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium (SBNS) in the city Wednesday, reports UNB.
Earlier, Tuesday, the national cricketers won both their Twenty20 practice matches against the Academy team-the first by 60 runs and the second by five wickets.
In the day's 40-over-a-side match, the national team posted 188 for all with skipper Mohammad Ashraful topscoring 51 runs off 55 balls that featured four fours and a six while opener Junaid Siddiqui Imroze made second highest 24.
Pacer Mashrafe Bin Mortaza 22, Alok Kapali 18 and Nadif Chowdhury not out 13 were the other notable scorers for the national side.
MA Robin, Nayeem Islam and skipper Mehrab Hossain Jr. claimed two wickets each.
In reply, Bangladesh Academy team were all out for 172 in 39.4 overs with captain Mehrab Hossain Jr. contributing team highest 46 runs off 47 balls that featured three fours.
Number three Rakibul Hasan scored second highest 41 runs off 65 balls with one four and a six.
Dhiman Ghosh 25, Sagir Hossain 22 and Dollar Mahmud 16 also fought gallantly, only to see their side lose to the national cricketers.
Left-arm spinner Abdur Razzak Raj scalped four wickets for 38 runs in 7.4 overs while pacers Mashrafe Bin Mortaza and Syed Rasel took two wickets apiece.
