Natore BCL leader held in Pabna

NATORE, Jan 17 (UNB): Police have arrested a leader of banned student organisation Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) from Ruppur area in Pabna district.
The arrestee is Riajul Islam Masum, general secretary of Natore district unit of BCL, police said on Friday.
On a tip-off, a police team conducted a drive in the Ruppur area on Thursday night and arrested Riajul, said Mahbubur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station, Natore.
He was also wanted in seven cases including that of murder, said OC.
Riajul went into hiding soon after the fall of the Sheikh Hasina-led government on August 5 last year.
