Natore, Dinajpur, Keraniganj road accidents kill four

A total of four people were killed and 34 others injured in separate road accidents in Natore, Dinajpur, Keraniganj on Tuesday and Monday, reports UNB.
In Natore, a pickup driver and his assistant were killed in Lalpur upazila of Natore early Tuesday as their vehicle collided with a bus on Natore-Pabna highway.
The deceased were identified as driver Apon Mia and his assistant Moazzem, both from Tangail district, said sub-inspector Firoz Ahsan, in-charge of Banpara highway police station.
The accident occurred around 2am when the Tangail-bound pickup collided with the Pabna-bound bus, leaving Apon and Moazzem severely injured.
In Dinajpur, three people including a woman were killed and 15 others injured as an inter-city bus lost control and crashed against a bridge at Bankkali in Dinajpur.
The identities of the deceased could not be known yet, police said.
The accident occurred around 8.30pm on Monday.
Kotwali police sub-inspector Mahbub said a coach of Ahsan Paribahan, on its way to Dhaka from Thakurgaon, lost control after one of its front wheels punctured in the Bankkali area of Dinajpur district headquarters.
In Keraniganj, a speeding bus lost control and hit a prison van, leaving 17 prisoners and two cops injured in front of Keraniganj Central Jail in Dhaka, police said on Tuesday.
