Natore road crash kills two-

NATORE, Nov 26 (UNB): Two people have died following a collision between a truck and a rickshaw-van in Lalpur upazila of Natore.
The accident happened early around 6 am on Tuesday in the Kadimchilan area of of the upazila, said Ismail Hossain, officer-in-charge of Banpara Highway Police Station.
The deceased were identified as van driver, Alfu, 55 of the local Dhanaidah village, and truck driver Mostakim Sheikh, 23, of Morrelganj upazila of Bagerhat, said the OC,
The accident happened when the rickshaw van, coming from a side road, entered the Natore-Pabna highway and collided head-on with the oncoming truck. The impact killed Alfu on the spot, the police official said.
The truck lost control after the collision and crashed into a tree at the roadside. Fire service personnel rushed to the scene and rescued the truck driver, Mostakim, and his helper. They were taken to a local hospital, but Mostakim later succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment, he added.
