NATORE, Feb 26: The roads of Natore Pourasava areas are in a bad shape causing constant inconvenience to the pedestrians and vehicles for a long time. Stagnation of water here and there and logging of water in many parts within the Pourashava has created manifold sufferings to the people, specially to the school-college goers. The condition of Rani Bhawani Govt. Mahila College road, Abdus Satter Khan Chowdhury road, Sankar Gobinda road and Natore PTI-Natore post office road have become so in dilapidated that even a pedestrian cannot easily pass through them. The people of Natore Pourasava urged upon the Mayor of the pourasava to take necessary steps without delay. Natore college Education at Gol-e-Afroz Government College, Singra, in Natore district is facing impasse due to acute shortage of a Principal, three assistant professors, ten lecturers, one demonstrator, one office assistant and one M.L.S.S. At present, the posts of Principal, three assistant professors, 10 lecturers and one demonstrator have been lying vacant against sanctioned posts of one Principal, four assistant professors, 18 lecturers and three demonstrators. There is no sanction for the post of Vice-Principal of the college. The students studying in the science group are the worst sufferers. Established in 1970, Degree pass and higher secondary level courses students study in this college. Only 12 teachers are now on the staff teaching students of degree pass and higher secondary level classes. Acting Principal of the college Associate Professor Rabindra Nath Sarker told this correspondent that he had informed the higher authority of the matter. Invigilator expelled One invigilator from SSC examination centre at Gol-e-Afroz Govt. College centre for his alleged negligence of duty and two examinees were expelled in Singra Upazila under Natore district Tuesday. The expelled teacher was identified as Md. Alam Ali, assistant teacher of Management of Bara Shanoil Technical and Business College in Singra Upazila in the district. The expelled examinees were identified as Md. Saddam Hossain of Alhaj Jalal Uddin technical school and Md. Liton Ali of Bahadurpur technical high school and college of the Upazila.
