Nawhata places Tk 343.2m budget

RAJSHAHI, July 21 (BSS): Nawhata Pourasava under Paba Upazila in the district has proposed an earning-expenditure balanced budget of Taka 343.2 million for the upcoming 2014-15 fiscal giving priority to the education and sanitation sectors.
"We have given the highest priority to the sectors having enormous potentials in the uppazila," said Poura Mayor Abdul Gafur while presenting the budget at its conference hall here today.
Ayen Uddin, MP, attended and addressed the budget-announcing session as the chief guest with the poura Mayor in the chair. All Ward Councilors, officials of the line departments, local elites and journalists were present.
Lawmaker Ayen Uddin viewed budget formulation and implementation is the precondition to strengthen the local government institutions. He says the present government has taken steps to strengthen the local government institutions.
