Naziur Rahman Manzur dead

Bangladesh Jatiya Party (BJP) Chairman Naziur Rahman Manzur died of cardiac arrest at BIRDEM hospital in the city early Sunday at the age of 59, report UNB and bdnews24.com.
Hospital sources said Manzur was admitted to the hospital at about 12:30pm on Saturday with liver complications. He got cardiac arrest late at night, and died at about 5am.
He was suffering from a number of critical diseases including liver cirrhosis, diabetes and kidney problems that finally led to the massive cardiac arrest, said a doctor of the Cardiology Department of the hospital.
Later, the body of Manzur was taken to his Baridhara residence.
He served as a minister during the Jatiya Party regime in the 1980s. He was also mayor of Dhaka City Corporation.
Manzur was born in Bhola on March 15, 1948. He is survived by his wife and three sons.
