Nazmul Huda refuses to accept expulsion order
Tuesday, 23 November 2010
A day after being expelled from the BNP, Barrister Nazmul Huda renounced Monday the expulsion order, saying he would carry out a legal battle against it.
He made the remark while talking to reporters at his Dhanmondi residence in the capital, reports UNB.
Barrister Huda claimed that he was a victim of regionalism and blamed BNP standing committee member Barrister Moudud Ahmed, saying lawyers of Noakhali fuelled the expulsion by convincing the party Chairperson Khaleda Zia.
Barrister Huda was fired from BNP Sunday, on charges of breaching organisational discipline.
The outspoken leader hoped that the BNP chairperson would soon withdraw the expulsion, as she (Khaleda Zia) had made many such examples in the past.
Former BNP vice-chairman Barrister Huda claimed that his relationship with the BNP goes back to its inception, which cannot be uprooted by anyone.
He said a legal battle will be carried out against the expulsion order after examining the constitution of the party.
