Nazrul birth anniv celebrations end in Pabna

PABNA, May 28: With a vow to fight inequality and injustice, socio-cultural and political organisations of Pabna observed the 116th birth anniversary of National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam.
The three-day 116th birth anniversary of National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam celebration concluded in Pabna with a discussion and cultural programme Wednesday.
Pabna Ekushey Boi Mela (EBM) organised a three-day programme. To mark the day, the organisation chalked out a three-day programme including discussion meetings, cultural events, and recitation of his poems.
The programme was inaugurated by Dr Al Nakib Chowduhur, vice-chancellor of Pabna Science and Technology University (PSTU) as the chief guest Monday.
At the closing ceremony, the meeting was presided over by Abul Hashem, president of Ekushey Boi Mela and among others addressed by Ekushey Boi Mela's adviser Monwar Hossain Jahedi, EBM's Vice-president Habib Hasan Monwar, Dr. Sarwar Jahan Foyes.
