NBL disburses SME loan at Gaibandha

National Bank Limited (NBL) disbursed small and medium enterprise (SME) loan through its Gaibandha branch recently, says a press release.
The bank has taken the step to help alleviate Monga and poverty of the area by creating long-time employment opportunities for the poor by using local potentials through the project.
The innovation of green tea from Tulshi leaf (Basil) by Monwara Talukder has created a great interest among the local people of the Sadar Upazila. Entrepreneur Monwara, a client of NBL, won the best Innovative Women Entrepreneur Award for the year 2008 given by SME foundation of the ministry of industries.
Senior Vice President and Rajshahi Regional Head of the bank Forhad Ahmad Chowdhury disbursed the SME loan to the entrepreneur at Green Tulshi Tea' Centre, Tulshighat, Gaibandha recently. Manager of Gaibandha branch Md Rejuanul Haque was also present, among others.
