NBL inaugurates own remittance operation in Malaysia

NBL Money Transfer, Malaysia inaugurated its remittance operation in Malaysia under full ownership and management of National Bank Limited (NBL) recently, said a press release.
Bangladesh Bank (BB) Deputy Governor Ziaul Hasan Siddiqui was present on the occasion as the chief guest, while NBL Executive Committee Chairperson Parveen Haque Sikder presided over the inaugural ceremony.
Also present at the ceremony were, Bangladesh ambassador in Malaysia AKM Atiqur Rahman, NBL directors Khalilur Rahman, Prof Mahbub Ahmed, Zakaria Taher, Abu Sayeed Monir and Lisa Fatema Hoque.
NBL Managing Director Md Abdur Rahman Sarker delivered the address of welcome, while its Senior Executive Vice-president (SEVP) and head of International Division gave vote of thanks.
The bank's SEVP and Company Secretary AKM Shafiqur Rahman conducted the programme.
