NBR splits Dhaka CBC into 2 zones

The National Board of Revenue (NBR) divided its Customs Bond Commissionerate (CBC) in the capital into two zones -- Dhaka North and Dhaka South -- to provide better services to export-oriented industries.
The NBR issued a notification in this regard on August 29.
The CBC North zone would provide services to the export-oriented industries in Mymensingh, Tangail, Gazipur, Netrokona, Kishoreganj and Sherpur districts along with some parts of Dhaka city, including Uttara, Gulshan, Badda, Rampura and Turag.
The CBC South zone would provide services to the export-oriented units in Narayanganj, Munshiganj, Manikganj, Narsingdi, Faridpur, Madaripur, Shariatpur, Rajbari and Gopalganj.
The zone would also serve the industries located in Savar, Dhamrai, Keraniganj, Dohar and Nababganj upazilas under Dhaka district along with some areas under Dhaka city, including Old Dhaka, Mirpur, Pallabi, Motijheel, Kamrangirchar, Mohammadpur and Adabor.
