NBR to be digitised by 2013

CHITTAGONG, Dec 11: NBR chairman Nasir Uddin today said the NBR will be fully digitalised by the year 2013.
He said the time bound plan in the Custom House will start to be implemented by January 2011 when the Chittagong Custom House will be raised to an international standard custom house.
Ahmed was speaking as chief guest at a seminar on trade facilitation and challenges of revenue collection in the context of Chittagong Tax Region Management at the Custom House auditorium on Saturday.
Golam Kibria, Customs Commissioner (import) presented the keynote paper while other senior officials including 28 newly appointed assistant commissioners who joined recently in the Chittagong Custom House were present on the occasion.
