NBR to honour nine at national level, 140 cos in districts

The National Board of Revenue (NBR) will honour nine companies at the national level and 140 companies at the district level as top VAT payers.
The NBR will hand over the awards to them on December 10, marking the National VAT Day.
On Thursday, the NBR issued two separate gazettes containing the names of the top VAT depositors who were selected on the basis of VAT payments in fiscal year 2015-16.
Narsingdi Gas Field, Healthcare Pharmaceuticals Limited and Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited have been selected at the national level under the production category of businesses.
SC Johnson Private Limited, Unimart limited and Prince Bazar limited will receive the national-level award under business category, while Fibre@Home Limited, One World Aviation Limited and Bureau Veritas Limited have been selected under service category.
