Bangladeshi expatriates living in Japan from now on can legally send their hard-earned money through NCC Bank Limited, said a press release.
NCC Bank has signed an remittance payment agreement in this connection with Tokyo Branch of ItaÚ Unibanco SA of Italy recently during the recent visit of a delegation of the bank lead by its Chairman Yakub Ali Montu.
NCC Bank Managing Director Mohammed Nurul Amin and ItaÚ Unibanco General Manager Yoshihiro Kaburaki signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.
For the first time, more or less one hundred thousand Bangladeshis residing in Japan would be able to send their remittance through "ItaÚ Unibanko" to their near and dear ones at any branch of NCC Bank Ltd.
Before establishing this channel, as there was no opportunity to send remittance from Japan through banking channel, they faced a lot of troubles for which they had to send it through "Hundi", an illegal process.
Chairman of the Executive Committee of NCC Bank SM Abu Mohsin, Deputy General Manager of ItaÚ Unibanco Jun Arai and Senior Manager Shigeru Kioka and high officials of both the organisations were present on the occasion.
