RAJSHAHI, Apr 5: An Asian Development Bank Mission meeting with Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank (RAKUB) was held at RAKUB head office yesterday to review credit activities of RAKUB under North-West Crop Diversification Project (NCDP). Pradip Kumar Dutta, Managing Director of RAKUB and concerned officials of RAKUB attended the meeting from RAKUB side while ADB Mission Chief Arun Kumar Saha attended with the mission team members. Among others, the meeting was attended by Hamidur Rahman, Project Director of NCDP. RAKUB sources informed, the NCDP started its activities in 2002 and ended in June 2009. Under this project, Tk 174 crore credit was distributed through four NGOs -- BRAC, Proshika, RDRS and GKF to the farmers to produce high-yield crops.
