NCP leaders pay homage to war heroes at National Memorial

Leaders of the newly-formed National Citizen Party (NCP) have paid tribute to the Liberation War martyrs by placing wreaths at the National Memorial in Savar, report agencies.
Party Convener Nahid Islam and Member Secretary Aktar Hossain led the delegation as they honoured the martyrs and observed a one-minute silence at the mausoleum on Tuesday.
Speaking to the media, Nahid, a former adviser to the interim government, said, "We will rebuild Bangladesh with the July spirit. Our independence was achieved through the Liberation War, but true sovereignty has remained under threat due to fascism.
