\\\'Neighbour\\\' chops pregnant woman to death

A pregnant woman was chopped to death allegedly by her neighbour in Juri upazila of Moulvibazar district on Tuesday evening. The deceased was identified as Sabitri Banerjee, 35, wife of Sagor Benerjee of Phultala tea garden area of the upazila. Locals said an altercation ensued between Sabitri and her neighbour Kajol Banerjee over a trifling matter around 6:00pm. At one stage, Kajol in a state of frenzy chopped Sabitri in the head with a sharp weapon, leaving her dead on the spot. On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Moulvibazar Sadar Hospital for autopsy. Police also arrested the accused killer, Kajol Banerjee, from the village, according to UNB.
