Nepal nip Bangladesh in Asiad warm-up football

Sushil KC scored the winner as Nepal beat Bangladesh 1-0 in their second warm-up match prior to the 17th Asian Games. The inauguration match at the Sylhet District Stadium was delayed after fans entered the pitch taking advantage of poor security. Sushil found the ball inside the box and fired home with a left-foot shot in the 78th minute. The home side, habituated in counter-attack football, got their best chance just before Sushil scored. The Asiad XVII will be kicked off on Sep 19 though the football event is starting from Sep 14. Hong Kong, Uzbekistan and SAAF champions Afghanistan are Bangladesh’s contenders in Group B. Bangladesh take on Hong Kong in their first match of the tournament on Sep 15, according to bdnews24.com.
